PLAN DESIGN COMPARISONS ANALYSIS
For plan sponsors considering a change to their current drug plan design or the implementation of a managed drug formulary, the Plan Design Comparisons Analysis is an essential tool to assess the potential impact of such changes. Using a complete, non-personally identifiable transactional drug claims data set for two or more consecutive years, this report compares the utilization experience of the sponsor's current design against any number of alternatives such as tiered co-payment structures, provincial formularies, or customized formularies. Through its assessment of both the financial impact and the number of plan members affected by the different options, this report addresses the needs of both senior HR professionals and senior executives.
This analysis is ideally suited for:
- Plan sponsors that have gained a comprehensive understanding of their plan's cost and utilization pressures through the completion of a Plan Performance Review™ and a Population Health Analysis, and are looking to select a new plan design that best addresses those costs and pressures.
- Groups looking to make the change from a reimbursement drug plan to a pay-direct drug plan, and needing to decide which more structured or managed plan design will best meet their organizational objectives with this benefit.
- Groups that have already short-listed a small number of alternative plan designs or formularies and are simply looking for a comparative impact analysis of those alternatives based on their own unique experience as part of their due diligence before proceeding.
